Gearing Up for 2021

Is it just me or did 2020 just fly by? No? OK, me either. Well either way we are already swinging into a crazy 2021!

Anyway, to recap (briefly) 2020, our album release finally came and went! The band even put together our first tour- Liberia or Bust- which ended up being a success. But, being 2020, the tour got cut short along with all of the shows we had in the summer. As a band we have had to think differently as shows were not happening.

So Liberia or Bust! To begin this section, thank you so much for all of your support! We didn’t bust! I could right a whole post on just the trip (probably should have done that when I got back). Even now, 6 months after I got back, people still ask me what it was like. Simply, there are no words that I can give you to adequately tell you about Liberia. There are so many amazing people there and I cannot wait to go back to share life with them again. We think we have an idea of what it’s like to live in poverty but in reality we don’t have anything like that here. The sights of a babies no older than my son Benjamin being carried into the poorest neighborhoods in the world or that they are wearing plastic bags as diapers will forever be ingrained in my head. But while it’s easy to talk about the poverty, they know what real joy is, something I think we miss a lot here in the states. So if you want to know more about Liberia, please send me a message and I’d be happy to tell you more!

Wanting to start the year off right, we’ve been working on some new music. Just a couple weeks ago, we released a new single. Besides it being one of the favorite song I have ever wrote, the sound is a lot different than what we have done in the past and I hope you like it! We’ve also been working on getting some new shows (looking big for this summer!) and have been recording some new videos we look forward to sharing with you.

So going into 2021 (even though we are 3 months in already), we can’t wait to connect with you all again. Hope to see you on the road!
